The Kennedy Legal Team Scholarship Program Administered by the City of Parkland

An annual scholarship for Marjory Stoneman Douglas graduates made possible by The Kennedy Legal Team. In recognition and remembrance of the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (“MSD”), the Kennedy Legal Team is pleased to announce funding for post-secondary scholarships. The scholarships seek to provide financial assistance for students who share the interests and passions of the students whose lives were tragically ended. These interests include the fine arts, including music, dance, and all forms of the arts, sports, and JROTC.

 

 

Two $500 scholarships will be awarded annually. To apply, you must be a Parkland resident and graduating from MSD in the current school year with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and submit an essay explaining how this shared interest has influenced your life, past, present, and future. The completed application form, high school transcript, and essay must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025. As the City of Parkland will be administering this program on behalf of the Kennedy Legal Team, scholarship recipients will be determined by the City’s Community Advisory Board.

 

To be considered for these scholarships, you must submit the following documentation:

• Signed, completed application

• High school transcript (in sealed envelope from the school)

• Essay explaining how your shared interest has influenced your life past, present, and future.

* Please note that if you have already received a scholarship from the City of Parkland at any time, you are not eligible for additional scholarships. Additionally, only one transcript is needed if applying for multiple scholarships.

 

All of the above items must be submitted by Friday, February 28, 2025 to:
